We wish to thank you for your continued support. We've bought the property next to Aan de Oever Guest House in Swellendam & we’re adding five rooms, this will increase our current seven rooms to twelve.
Aan de Oever is open & bookable as usual!
The upgrades & building are on the new property & therefore do not affect Aan de Oever or our guests in any way.
The new rooms will include Standard Double / Twin, Semi – Luxury Double / Twin, Luxury King / Twin & a wonderful family option. This family room can be booked for up to five people, but has an interlinking room too & when booked together a family of up to seven members can be accommodated. This family room can also be self – catering, with a kitchen, small living room, deck & outside BBQ. We’re rather excited about that as it’s a first for us. Our garden will simply extend, giving us an even bigger riverfront & mountain view, here future possibilities are endless ... The rates & quality will be the same as Aan de Oever Guest House, with our four star rating & exceptional service. We will update the rooms & layout with pictures very soon. The building will be completed by the end of November 2017

You may prefer to sit in our garden, listening to the Koornlands River bubbling by and the many species of birds.
We are within walking distance of the museum, restaurants, art galleries and shops and we can provide you with all the information about actives in and around Swellendam. Swellendam is situated on the Garden Route, half way between Cape Town and George. It is thirty minutes’ drive to the well known Route 62 &roughly an hour’s drive to Cape Agulhas, the most Southern tip of Africa. The De Hoop Nature Reserve is about an hour and a half’s drive & a wonderful place for a day trip and the Robertson Wine Route is only half an hour away via Bonnievale.
